The artist was Balloon Ride Fantasy who are made of two men, I found them on a webiste called overplay which is a website that broadcasts indie/rock bands that are undiscovered, I felt that there music they showed was fitting with the idea I had in the pitch. I found the artists page which had many details in which we could contact them on. I found there facebook page and on there was their email address. I then wrote an email discussing that I am studying A-level media and that this practical is worth 50% of my overall grade I then explained that we needed permission to use their music and if agreed also to send lyrics which they did.
The arist desribed themselves as being indie-pop duo from Pittsburgh, this genre of indie-pop involves rock elements but with catchy melody hooks, it has become very popular with new generation becoming more inclined to mainstreme music. For being an unsigned band i thought their music was very good, I also thought that there music fitted my idea and tempo of the music video.
